Nice staff usually willing to go the extra mile for their customers. It seems a little pricier than some other big box stores but if you're close you'd be spending that money in gas to go to the city for a couple small items. One other bonus is their paint program. Once you buy so many gallons you one on them.
I like that they carry pretty much everything I need. That being said I might not always know where to look for things. I have found that anytime I go here the best thing to do is to go straight to the back counter and ask someone to point me in the right direction. If I wait for someone to come to me and ask if I need help I'd be there all day.
This place is a joke. Crooked wood at the highest prices around. Most of what I seen in two by fours and two by threes was way over the price of Home Depot and most of it was crooked and warped. Home Hardware keeps their wood outside so it gathers moisture and turns when it dries over and over and over again. Thank you very much but no thanks. Why would you want to spend almost twice the amount on what you can get elsewhere for so much cheaper, and for better quality wood even?! Spend 10 minutes driving to Home Depot in Woodstock where there is a greater selection keeper prices and if you compare the wood qualities Home Depot exceeds this Home Hardware 100%
Have stopped in here several times...the staff are so reluctant to help you its ridiculous...kept thinking it would improve but nope. Just not going back.
After doing business here for several years where the staff knows me by name, I am moving my business elsewhere. I bought ceiling paint that goes on blue and dries white. My paint never dried white and after a month my ceilings are still blue. I was expecting some kind of compensation for my time and bad paint but instead was told it was my fault because I didnt let the paint dry enough between coats. I was also told it should still turn white but it would take longer. After four weeks its still blue and I am very disappointed with the customer service I have received to the point I have to move all my business to someone who will service me better. Blaming me, the customer, for not applying paint properly is extremely unprofessional and only a guess on your end. I was also told the blue would dissolve out of the remaining wet paint after a few days and after almost three weeks it was still blue.
